It always makes my heart warm a little (as cheesy as it sounds(ᵕ—ᴗ—)) to see somebody else just be so engaged in the same media/hobby....That's actually the opposite for me since it's related to Themis Main Story, therefore I tend to keep it at the back of my head LMFAO

But yes, you are remembering correctly. It's indeed akin to Island Suspense, where it's essentially part of the Main Story. The best part is that, unlike Island Suspense, the story parts can be reread anytime LMFAO albeit some part still can't be reread, but I did archive some of it in the thread: Here. I tend to not finish Big Event Thread because having multiple acc and multiple game usually make me lazy at some part, but some is there. My evaluation for the card, I only read ZR card yet so I can't say anything for other despite having both Mo Yi and Xia Yan's card. (MY READING DUE IS ENDLESSS, and I need to catch up to SJZW's main story since their main story update is close, and I am still in early W3. I've been putting even LN on the back burner and LYSK in passing whim of mood lmfao), but in my eyes, I think it's a pretty good showcase of the continuous theme of Artemrosa partnerships and ZR's core character. 

The writing is pretty tight with pretty minor gripes that do not affect the writing or my feeling for the writing as a whole. Wait, let me copy my rambles to my friend lmfao

as in yeah its not dating but it is bleeding perfectly in character writing with their dynamic even in non dating timelinezuo ran is the type of character that always puts everyone before himself, who wears responsibility like second skin, who always does his best to fulfill things he said he will dohe was literally on gun point and when the person who did that chase after the suitcase that zr held (then release) but no hesitation to save that person at allthe genuine disdain for the whole concept of the train where lives used as bargain and how he without hesitation risking his life to save everyone's on trainsomeone who holds his ideal tight, someone who knows the price and will pay the price especially in such chaotic situationand here the artemrosa partnership highlighted, because rosa also became his anchor, he promised rosa to return to her side and he tried to do his best to be careful so he can return to his side as promisedand rosa not only waiting at the high moment of the card when zuo ran is risking his life to shoot the chain connected to self destruct carriage, she is there for him"i am zuo ran's partner, i can't leave him alone!" and "we boaded to train together and we going fell off together too"like its partnership after allone of my favourite text is that line where rosa basically said "if zuo ran saves everyone, who will save him?"and then run to his sideit just aaaah yeah artemrosa partnerships really is two people who dont want let others be alone suffers hardshipsthat boi scares the hell out of rosa tho because even before they end up falling from the train, zr is already injured when he was saving noah (the one who pointed the gun at him on the train rooftop)so like falling to snow plus those injuries, ofc he is bleeding ajsjdjdzuo ran mentioned in the video call that durant (another npc) said when her and her people found them, rosa refused to let go even though she was frozen by cold (i get rosa so bad, he can't stand up and his voice sounded  weak, he was very much struggling but trying his best to comfort her) 

I think I end up in three different dm and one server talking about this LMFAO As for the event story, I think this event story has more cohesiveness and a better  climax than Island Suspense. Also, I think everyone already know but Liu Wei appears in the event story, and honestly, he was quite a surprise delight. They didn't write him as just comic relief (albeit yes, he still served as one), but there is genuine character work and growth for him, and we even get more bits about his past. It was interesting. As how they end up in Svart with leads, well, Island Suspense and all these follow up is leading to that country, and even some dead lead in Svart end up resurfaced in Ch 18 Part 1. There is also another doomed sibling situation in Svart if you saw the art of two blonde siblings as the sister hugging the brother with fire around them, that's your government-designed doomed siblings. (Anyway I hate Svart Nobles part infinity)

They really go through a lot tho in Svart, my beloved NXX family. 

As for the new Main Story chpater..... well, yes knife.... I keep telling my friends I am so sad about it, very sad about it. The case is just very depressing, and it's painful to read with the victim already dead. Also, a lot of information in this chapter too, whether it's related to Xia Yan (His old comrades that died from the same illness, temporary name for his illness, and his current treatment plan), LJH follows up with Bai Shen regarding stuff about Lu Jinghan (you'll get to know what stuff when Chapter 17 drops in glb). Zuo Ran is also going to interrogate Jian Yu, prolly would be for part 2 of Chapter 18. Also, I am not sure if you are asking about the arc as a whole or just this chapter. If only about this chapter, then it's two parter, but as a whole, then I'm not sure. Ya Ning Arc only started in ch 16 after. Based from pattern from Heirson and Gladiolus Valley arc, it took at least 7-8 chapters for them to end an arc.Also, hahah I don't think it's that cheesy to be happy seeing people passionate over things, it's time to embrace passion in this world that trivializes it. I am glad you enjoy it, since I just mostly yap to myself LOL even my friend can find it too intense, so at least there is people likes my insanity. Am I remembering incorrectly or is it akin to Island Suspense where it's basically apart of main story? Also, I haven't really seen evaluation of either event story nor the cards themselves hhh I'm super curious.
